Exercise Referral at The Meadows Community Centre & Chesterton Sports Centre

The new name for community Exercise Referral classes in Cambridge is HEALTHY YOU PLUS.  Available at both The Meadows & Chesterton Sports Centre, weekly classes are available in Long-term condition circuit & studio classes as well as Cardiac Rehabilitation. Symptoms include;

  • Arthritic conditions or awaiting joint replacement surgery,
  • Diabetes,
  • Osteoporosis,
  • Obesity,
  • Chronic Fatigue conditions,
  • Chronic back pain, 
  • Mental Health illness,
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation or Heart Disease,
  • Respiratory disease or
  • Neurological conditions.

Strength & Balance opportunities in Arbury & Abbey

 

The Active Lifestyles team is proud to provide a number of weekly strength & balance classes throughout the North of Cambridge; specifically for older adults who may be struggling with their mobility and who may becoming increasingly unsteady.  In addition, these classes provide the opportunity for social interaction and friendship. 

Available to ALL classes cost between just £3-£4 per session. 

Current Strength & Balance classes in the area include:

  • Lichfield Hall (Mon; 2-3pm)
  • Mansel Court (Tues; 3.45-4.45pm)
  • Ditton Court (Fri; 11am-12noon)
  • NEW from AUGUST Meadows Community Centre (Fri; 1-2pm)

Other sessions for adults over 50 include:

  • Bat 'n' Chat - The Meadows Community Centre (Thurs; 10.30am-12.30pm)#
